Multi-Channel Marketing

Four setps to effective multi-channel marketing and a 360° view of your customer

To really know your customer you must establish a dialogue with them by effectively using multiple marketing and response channels. There are four key ways to build effective multi-channel marketing campaigns:

  • Engage customers to “opt-in”. Companies that build their own opt-in lists are better able to engage customers in a one-to-one dialogue that results in increased response rates and sales. Consider methods such as e-newsletters that provide relevant and valuable information and invite customers to provide feedback or unique responses.
  • Invest in personalizing communications. Research shows that by a ratio of over 3:1, customers prefer personalized communications. Research also shows that the more personalized an offer is, the more likely a customer is to respond. It requires an increased investment in content and design development, but you can expect significantly higher response rates and a greater return on your marketing investment.
  • Integrate and synthesize your data. By mining and integrating existing databases to develop a repository of complete customer information, you can identify which customers are more likely to find your offer attractive and which customers are your best customers. This will ensure you get the highest return on investment.
  • Simplify your marketing. Personalizing communications and implementing multi-channel campaigns can be challenging without the necessary technology or infrastructure. By partnering with one-to-one marketing specialists you can capitalize on industry best practices to help you integrate and analyze your data, create multi-channel strategies, manage marketing content, execute integrated campaigns and build comprehensive reporting processes.
